Hi y'all!!
We are beyond excited to launch our first edition of Plannr Monthly (sorry, we're not *super* creative with names lol), Plannr Consulting's monthly newsletter consisting of the latest hot & fresh updates from our nonprofit!
Think of this letter as a casual morning coffee read where you can find out the latest opportunities, learn about mental health, and dive into some new content from our blog. In this first edition, we have a ton of cool stuff, from new blog posts to member spotlights and a social media minute! Have suggestions for this digital newsletter? Contact us using the links below.
Before you scroll through the rest of this email written by our incredible Internal Affairs Coordinator, Divya Annathurai (huge s/o to this girl!! she's amazing!), on behalf of Plannr Consulting, I want to thank each and everyone of you for being members of our community. We are so grateful for your support.
And without further ado, Plannr Monthly, Edition 1.
Much love,
Srilekha Cherukuvada
Founder & Executive Director
We offer consultations that cover a wide-range of topics that affect our peers: lifestyle/self care, college admissions, test prep for ACT/SAT/APs/general classes, organizing, and more. Our College Admissions consultants are high-achieving college students that can help high school students get a head start on their college journey! The main goal of Plannr’s consultation program is to allow our peers to destress and improve their mental health through peer mentorship, support, and organizational techniques. If you would like, feel free to schedule a free consultation with us - we cannot wait to meet you!
For mental health awareness week, Plannr Consulting posted informational content about various mental illnesses throughout the week. On the final day, there was an Instagram Live with Erica Nye, a certified counsellor, to discuss student mental health.
From November 6-13, we will be hosting our Kindness Coalition. Our plan is to partner with other youth-led organizations with a mission to spread kindness and positivity in the world. Each day, we will present a new challenge and collect all submissions at the end to form a gallery on our website.
We are currently still looking for outreach coordinators and partnership coordinators. Sign up here if you would like to volunteer with us and be a part of Plannr Consulting!
As for our current staffers in Community– our campaign lead has been working on campaigns with the Community director and Executive director. Our outreach coordinators are contacting professionals from mental health non-profits, schools, and the journalism sector to form our first ever Board of Advisors. They are also contacting school administrators and NHS chapters to establish partnerships with schools globally. Our internal affairs coordinator created this newsletter! Furthermore, we are working on developing a new Slack community where our ambassadors, chapters, and more people can communicate.
Interested in any of these initiatives? Keep scrolling for our Social Media Minute with the links to contact us!
It was World Mental Health Day last weekend! Check out the interview we had with Erica Nye, a professional counselor, on Instagram here.
Come say hi!
We’ll be shining the spotlight on a couple members of Plannr Consulting every newsletter edition and put a face to the work that goes on behind the scenes.
Volunteer Spotlight:
Dara Cohn, Instagram Social Media Lead
My name is Dara and I’m 16. I decided to work at Plannr because I really loved everything they were about. I love that they were all for mental health and I thought it would be perfect volunteer opportunity as I want to be a psychiatrist!
Ambassador Spotlight:
Tarif Ibne Kamal, Ambassador
I am Tarif from Bangladesh. It feels great to be a part of an organization working on such a great cause. I feel proud to contribute to the team & I hope my journey with Plannr Consulting continues for a long time.
Check out some of the posts on our blog, Mind Garden!
And that's a wrap on our very first edition! Your Internal Affairs Coordinator, Divya, signing off. Have a lovely week and stay tuned for more updates <3
